Regenia Wells, Director of Tifton - Tift County Animal
Shelter joined the team in May 2003. She completed her
Taser Certification training in November 2003, Georgia
Animal Control Association training at Macon State
College in March 2004 and Southeastern Animal Control
Association training at Columbus State University in
June 2004. Ms. Wells has been elected & nominated on
the Georgia Animal Control Association board for the
2005/2006 session. She has also attended several
conferences & training seminars in Atlanta & other
surrounding counties to further her education &
knowledge of Animal Control. She attends Tifton Day
with the Tifton Chamber of Commerce yearly as a
representative for the Tifton - Tift County Animal
Shelter and Tift County. She works closely with the
Sheriff Dept & Police Dept in the investigation & court
hearings of dog fighting and animal cruelty in our
area. She also serves on the Animal Control Board for
Tifton - Tift County and works closely with the
Dangerous Dog Committee. Ms. Wells worked closely with
the City Council, County Commissioners and Attorneys to
implement the new City & County Animal Control
Ordinances. |
