Public Works

The Public Works Depatment is responsible for the
maintenance of  all Tift County roads. 

The employees maintain the ditches and the mowing of roads and right of ways located in Tift County. 

They install new driveway pipes.  They spray for mosquitoes in
both the County and the City of Tifton. 

 The Public Works Department has 44 full time employees
and 2 part time employees. 
Each of these employees play a different role within
the Public Works Department.

The Tift County Road and Public Works Department currently has Lavacide tablets available for the public.  You may pick the tablets up from the office durning business hours: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm.
