Coaches Applications and Background Check Information

The Tift County Recreation Department implemented a Coach / Volunteer Background Check process in 1995. Coaches and Volunteers must complete and pass a Background Check prior to coaching or assisting with any Recreation Team/Activity. Locally we utilize the Local Law Enforcement to run our background checks. Sometimes the public asks if there is another group that can run the background checks that would be accepted by the Tift County Recreation Department.  Since those discussions we have secured an online Coach / Volunteer Pay Background Check Provider - Protect Youth Sports that performs acceptable Background Checks.

The online option is not mandatory by any means but gives the applicant an option. This is also the group TCRD would use if the local Background Check is insufficient and we needed more information.

For More Information prior to starting your ONLINE Background Check Process you can go to www.protectyouthsports.com . After you have reviewed their website you can select the link below to begin your online Background Check Process.
