Program Information

 Registration Information 

Registration for first time users is conducted in our administrative offices at 401 North Victory Drive. After your initial registration with us you will be able to access our online registration process for all team sport registrations. Others will be made available at various times throughout the year. 
Summer Day Camp registration will still need to take place in person at this time. 
 
Office hours are 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
(Specific dates for each activity are listed in the activity guide).
1. Bring a certified copy of your child’s birth certificate for our files.
2. Bring the activity fee, if applicable.
3. Complete our activity registration form.
4. Mail in registration with payment is now available.
Registration forms, coach and sponsor applications are available on our website, www.tiftcounty.org.
 
We now have an on-line option for repeat customers. 
Please use the link provided to access our online catalog.  Please utilize the search feature to see if you already have an account in our Rec1 Registration System . If you do not find your name then you will need to create an account. You will be asked to provide a valid email, user name and a password. Email communication is very important so you can receive updates in regards to upcoming programs and league information. Payment
We accept Visa, MasterCard and debit cards. You may also pay by check, telecheck, money order and cash.
Refunds
No refunds will be granted for any program or activity once the activity has started and/or teams have been selected. If a refund is requested prior to team selections the participant may receive either a department credit or partial refund. A 20% administrative cost will be withheld.
 
LOCAL ATHLETIC PROGRAMS
The mainstay of TCRD programs has been and continues to be adult and youth team sports. TCRD offers a complete program of youth basketball, baseball, softball, football, soccer, cheerleading, adult softball, basketball, volleyball, tennis and flag football.
For an activity fee, children as young as 5 and as old as 14 can play in various sports
Ages 5-14 in youth baseball, and softball.
Age 4-14 in youth soccer.
Ages 5-12 years old can play basketball.
Ages 5-12 years old can play football and cheerleading.
Adult leagues operate on a team entry basis, with local churches, businesses and industries, as well as open teams, entering in the various leagues.
INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMS
For the individual, TCRD offers a variety of athletic and non-athletic activities. On the athletics and fitness side, TCRD regularly offers adult and youth tennis leagues, open swimming and swimming lessons - pending WSI availability, walking club, aerobics, line dancing and Zumba Classes. Non-athletic activities include arts and crafts, personal safety and hunter safety classes, first aid and CPR training and various other activities and classes.
SENIOR CITIZEN ACTIVITIES
TCRD has become a local leader in organizing and promoting senior activities in Tift County. Through the Older Americans Committee, TCRD is a primary organizer of Older Americans Month in May, and TCRD is the direct sponsor of two Senior Picnics and the Older American’s Banquet each year.
In addition, special senior classes, activities and excursions are organized and conducted by TCRD.
SPECIAL EVENTS
TCRD conducts many special events during the year, including contests, track meets, holiday events, summer day camps and sports camps. The oldest and largest TCRD special event is the annual Thanksgiving Youth Football Bowl, co-sponsored by the Tifton Sertoma Club. Teams from all over South Georgia and North Florida converge on Tifton to compete in the bowl, which began in 1962.
Other popular special events are the Optimist Club sponsored Bike Rodeo and Tri-Star Soccer Contest, the Elks sponsored Hoop Shoot free throw contest, the Friendly City Park Easter Egg Hunt and the Williams Syndrome Family of Hope 1m/5k Run. During the spring, summer and fall months, TCRD has played host to more than 15 major softball and baseball tournaments, including college, high school and private state playoffs.
A NATIONAL REPUTATION
TCRD has placed Tifton in the national spotlight through its hosting of more than 40 national softball tournaments since 1977.
TCRD has hosted teams from nearly all the 48 contiguous states as part of Amateur Softball Association and National Junior College Athletic Association National Championships. TCRD tournaments have developed a reputation for quality, and TCRD nationals since 1993 have all received awards as being among the highest rated tournaments in the country.
